Things I've learned . . .

These are lessons that I have learned lately. If you want to know more, you'll have to ask me in person or privately. Explainations will not go on this blog. :)

1) I cannot please everyone. Now, I just need to learn to stop trying.

2) No one is going to take care of me like I will.

Happy Monday to all!

The whole not being able to please everyone...that's something I've learned lately too. Along with it, learning how to say NO, no matter how guilty it makes me feel. Hang in there!

Why is that teeny, tiny word so hard to say?? Aaron & I both have trouble saying it (he more so than me, though). Especially as moms, it seems, we feel guilty for taking time to take care of ourselves. But it makes everything better if we do!

Yes, I'm still not past the whole guilt thing but I think I've finally realized that I can only do my best. Beyond that, people will just hae to get over it!

You are a treasure, Jamie and I have no doubt that you and Andrew are stellar parents. You have a beautiful job of mom and wife and that will keep you busy and I'd guess you find plenty of ways to stay busy. I'm in your corner. This summer when I was unemployed there was such freedom! The option to help with my mom's school, or take Gran for coffee or volunteer places was awesome. The whole non-paid part wasn't fun, but God provides. Whenever I thought about the stigma of being unemployed I remembered the opportunities that God had given me in this time and embraced it.

Embrace it and let go of others, my friend! Hooray!
