Kansas Reflections, Part 1

I'm going to do this in several parts because I do not seem to be able to find the time and energy to make one big long post about our time in Kansas. Nor do I have the desire to fight with blogger on the justification of this text so . . . it will be middle justified. Sorry!
This first picture is in my grandparents basement with them spending time with my girls. They were a big reason why we made the trip. They aren't able to travel to Ohio at this time (probably anymore) and my grandpa is going through Chemo so we wanted to visit them!

It took Abigail a few days to warm up to them but many games of peek-a-boo later, she was giving them big hugs goodbye. Warms my heart!
In this picture, I believe she was pointing to my grandpa's stuffed Elk. She was pretty scared of the ole' fella right at first but by the third or fourth day visiting them she wanted to pet it as often as I would pick her up. He has a stuffed deer as well! :)

My sweet Grandma had the right touch to put Elsie to sleep, usually without much or any fuss, which is a pretty good skill! (I'm listening to her fuss right now). She put her to sleep most of the days we were there! :)

Okay . . . more later. Elsie is needing to go to bed!

These pictures are exactly what I was picturing while you were in Kansas. I'm so glad that you got to go. I know grandpa and grandma loved the visit!

what a blessing you all were to them, and as jenny wrote.. so glad you got to visit. Your children brought "life" to them in a tender way
