Fashion Advice

I finally decided it would make sense to actually show you all what the clothes I bought look like . . . before I take them back. So, here are the clothes that Andrew said make me look like an old lady.

The second one fits better, I think. Anyway, his advice to me was to wear dark solid colors. Then when I wore all black on Sunday and then said I was hot, he said, "Well, why did you wear all black?" I don't understand men!

Speaking of: Here is a picture of my hard working man. He is working on some websites for his old company in the evenings.

And, of course, I can't put pictures on a blog without posting one of our darling. I have some funny pictures taken of ways that she sleeps but I'll do those another time.

She was on the changing table getting ready for the day! Smiles at 6 am! Amazing!

Jaime, I would guess that her teeth are beginning to bother her. And they can take months sometimes to come in. If you are not opposed to trying a little Tylenol to see if that helps, that would be my advice. Just a thought. Good luck!!!

I was just going to suggest that, too Aunt Cindy :) Either Tylenol or Oralgel (or both).
And about the shirts...I have the same problem. I don't have the figure those "hip" clothes are designed for so sometimes I end up with "old lady" clothes! I've found that staying away from large prints and horizontal stripes helps minimize. Bright colors are good too. WalMart has some great Hanes cotton tees-crew neck and v-neck (that could be dressed up with slacks or a skirt) that are only $5. They have the bright summer colors, too.
I prayed for you several times today--every time Jacob was fighting sleep I thought of you & Abigail!

I can't see the shirts real well, but you look good! From what I can tell, I like the top one better than the bottom one. Remember how much luck you had when we went to Plato's closet together that one time? You came out with some inexpensive but awesome-looking clothes. Don't forget about that place. It takes a while to sift through the "teeny bopper" clothes, but there are some in there for our age. I have been going to a second-hand store called "Clothes Mentor." It is for "older" women (our age:) and isn't so "teeny bopper." Not sure if they have any there, but you could check and see. I think "nice" second hand stores are a great place to find good and inexpensive clothes.

Love,
Jenny

I actually shop at Plato's Closet all the time! I can usually find some good things but at times it is frustrating since you can't just "go up a size". I haven't heard of clothes mentor but I will check into that.

I can't fit into any of the clothes I bought on that shopping trip! Ugh!

Thanks for the teething advice. I do think that something is going on in her mouth. She is always looking for something to put in there!
