House Update!
Our meeting went well. Our rough estimate was quite a bit higher than we expected. We decided to change some things and make the upstairs an "attic" for the time being so that won't be included in the cost of the total building project. We are changing our house plans to make the downstairs acceptable to a lender and then we will have a long meeting with UBuildIt to decide specifications for the whole house. I hope we can get our house plans finalized quickly so that we can keep the process moving. No, we don't know yet when we will start building. That's all for now. Have a good day!!

I'm curious as to how you make your downstairs plans acceptable to a lender....interesting. Does making your upstairs an attice mean you don;t have regular steps to to up to it? Or is it just a technicality :) Have a good day!
We are adding a second bedroom to the downstairs. Lenders don't like one bedroom houses, I guess. There will still be stairs but it will just have a door at the top and we will plan on finishing the upstairs but for now we are calling it an "attic." I'll try to put a copy of the plans on here, once we get them done!
