Pictures and the World!

Thanks to those of you who gave me picture advice. I tried Flicker (already had an account) but they would only let me upload about 20 to 30 pictures and that was my month allotment! Crazy!

I had never noticed the "add another picture" feature on blogger. Will definitely use it now! Thanks Jen!

Here are my sweet girls!

My heart is heavy this morning. I've just been thinking of the challenges that lay ahead of us as parents. How are we ever going to raise these girls to desire to follow Christ - to be truly sold-out for Him and not follow the things of the world? The world is so alluring and there are so many ways to "compromise". I know it takes lots of prayer and just one day at a time but still seems so hard.
Recipe to follow - I promise!

WWJD? Lead by Example.

There's nothing quite like a simplistic answer to a complex question. I think you (Jaime) have been frustrated by answers like this from me before. :)

Everyday . . . i'm frustrated by your simple answers everyday!!!

I guess that means we won't be seeing any more movies that we wouldn't take our children too . . . if we're truly leading by example!

We can see movies and do things that aren't necessarily "child friendly", it just means that when they have kids, they will do things that aren't child freindly with their children.

There are some things that kids don't process the same way that make it inappropriate, not just the activity in and of itself. Schindler's List is a powerfull, meaningful, historical movie; but you would only want to show it to someone who is mature enough to process its meaning and understand what they are looking at.

You are just "anti-movie". :)

I'm definitely not "anti-movie". I like movies just as much as anyone else. If I have a choice, however, I'd rather spend quality face-to-face time with my children and family than watch a fictional movie. That's just why I'm choosy!
