I took these pictures with my phone during our early morning diaper change. I'm pretty sure these were authentic smiles. I kept asking her to smile at me and I was rewarded! :)

Feb 25 Update

Hey all! It's been so long since I have written on here. That means that we've actually been getting out and doing stuff. Abigail has been out to eat (or let her parents eat) 3 times, bowling once, the doctor twice, and a movie on Saturday! :) She was great. She slept or ate the whole time and didn't make a peep! She is really starting to grow and blossom. She gave me lots of smiles today in her bath and I promise there was no gas! :)

Nights are starting to go better. We're getting into a little bit of a loose schedule with her awake in the mornings, a long afternoon nap, and awake in the evenings. Then she has been sleeping from 11 or 12 at night until 3 am and then again til 6:30 or 7 am. I will take that! :) Well, I hear crying, so I'd better go change another diaper! More pictures will be coming!

Friday, Feb 9

Abigail's doctor appointment went great. She had gained back a lot of the weight she had lost and everything else looked great. She is really starting to breastfeed well. We had one instance last night where she got mad but all in all, it's starting to really take off. Several people have already said that she looks bigger, so it is great to see that she is growing! I'll leave you with some pictures. She is down asleep in her crib, so I should be too!

Daily Pictures

My first day with my hair and make up done! :) I had a chiro appointment this afternoon. It was nice to get straightened out but I'm tired now!

One of her LONG naps today. I hope that doesn't mean she'll be up all night.

Tomorrow is Andrew's first day back at work. Wish me luck! Yikes!

Abigail Update

Here is our little girl wide awake and alert! She had a long period of time this afternoon where she was awake and calm. It was so much fun to talk and interact with her then!

We're still working on sleeping at night. She does fine when held (what baby doesn't) but doesn't care much for being alone in the crib or Pak N' Play, so we'll continue to work on that.

First Day Home

Blogger isn't cooperating with me at the moment and I'm not going to spent a lot of time on it right now, so all you'll get is one picture! :) We had a very rough night, with Abigail only sleeping about an hour and that wasn't at one time. So we all spent the morning and some of the afternoon sleeping. She is very peaceful right now! I hope that doesn't mean we're in for a rough night. Oh well. I feel more equipped to handle it tonight, as Andrew's mom is helping us by staying over and perhaps taking a shift with holding and rocking. Yeah! Here is a picture from one of our naps today.

I also have to mention that when we arrived home from the hospital on Sunday, our house had been cleaned, laundry done, dishes done, etc, by A's mom, cousin, and aunt. It was the very best gift I could have ever imagined! I haven't had to lift a finger to do housework since we've been home and that was been great!

She has arrived!!

Abigail Jennifer Schechter arrived on 2/2/2008 at 4:00 pm! 7 lbs 14 oz., 21 inches long. She is such a precious gift from God and a very good baby! She was earlier than I expected but we're very glad she is here. Enjoy the photos. There will be lots more to come!
