Why not save money for times like these?<BR/>Oh and I tried to post a comment on Andrew's blog, but the comment settings wouldn't allow me to. It wouldn't pull up a word for me to verify, no matter which name I tried to post under. It could be something on my computer, but I can post on everyone else's blog.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13248235668980487417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12261210.post-29080765070072941822009-02-24T10:07:00.000-06:002009-02-24T10:07:00.000-06:00It's true. Our standard of living is higher than ...It's true. Our standard of living is higher than it has every been. I agree that we should consume less and would be better for it. Unfortunately, the health and stability of our economy is contingent upon excessive consumption, which as we have recently learned is NOT sustainable. duh. So, our economy (and the banking industry) must be fundamentally restructured, which in the short run will cause hardships to many people in the industries most affected. Aiding those people as they make the transition to new, emerging (hopefully more sustainable)industries is one thing, but I don't think throwing money at the problem and preserving a broken system is the answer.Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02917492742787495462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12261210.post-60927296133542810042009-02-24T09:54:00.000-06:002009-02-24T09:54:00.000-06:00Oh my gosh, we are such spoiled bratts!
